I traveled with my elderly mother and we were placed in different seats. Not too many choices of movies for the entertainment part and could hardly hear it with the headphones. Staff was friendly and cordial.

I didn’t purchase any specific seat, so I was assigned to row 8 ( not an exit row). It afforded me lots of legroom (I’m 6’2”). Very comfortable. I don’t know if all the rows have lots of legroom or I just got lucky.

Going to Panama everything was good. Everyone spoke English. Coming from Panama the crew in the airport were giving directions only in Spanish and when I asked if they could speak English they said no. I purchased a soda from the store and paid 4.50 cents for the soda to drink on the plane like I had done in NY. After I purchased the soda I was told in Spanish with pointing that even though I had gone through the security check that I would have to go through another checkpoint and I had to throw away my soda. I think that it is disappointing that the crew was unable to communicate with English speaking passengers and just pointing to communicate. I think it is also disappointing that the Copa Airlines would hire non English speaking individuals knowing that we are spending American Dollars that support your brand. I am not sure that I would ever take Copa again. I would rather take United for more money knowing that they value me as a customer with something as minor as speaking English.

Additional security was too much, not necessary. Had a last seat so was not comfortable
