There were no cars available at my scheduled pickup time. I was told that they would call me when something was available. Never got a call. Tried to call the store but they had closed. I never got the a car at all for my trip. Also I was told that I would have to pay for an additional day bc the time I scheduled to drop it off is no longer available. They said they have to be open to drop it off now. Horrible experience.

I had cancelled the insurance I requested when I used Kayak to reserve the car. The took the funds immediately which I was not prepared for. Arriving at Enterprise, their insurance was way more costly. The insurance opportunities were cost prohibitive for us.

Brandon and Kelly at Enterprise on Bob Wallace Ave in Huntsville,AL was very professional and nice. They stayed over their time making sure I left riding in something nice. The vehicle was very clean. I will definitely recommend seeing them everytime I go. They were very understanding and nice , gave me no problems. They deserve a raise!!!! 100/100 definitely recommend.

When I arrived in Birmingham there weren’t any mid-size trucks available even though that is what I reserved. There was a larger truck available but it had not been cleaned. The Budget employee asked if I would be willing to accept the larger truck for the same price if he cleaned it quickly. I said yes. The truck was in great shape. It was exactly what i needed to help my son move in for college. The return was quick and simple and I very much appreciated that I wasn’t told I would have to choose another car. We worked together to get it fixed quickly and I was very happy! Thanks Budget!

Dollar at the BHM airport is basically nonexistent. There is apparently never any staff at the desk, there is no kiosk in the garage, and no one to help you figure out how to actually get your car. Avoid using Dollar here and just go for a bigger name rental company.

Person that gave us our key at Hertz counter was totally passed out with her head on the counter. Drop off was poorly marked and unorganized. Price on your website did not include many fees added at airport (approximately $95). Price of vehicle was already overpriced for such a budget/ low grade vehicle.

I got out of line and went to Hertz. They got me in a car within 10 minutes. Agent was overwhelmed with requests and working solo with no help on a Sunday.

They scheduled me at 1 certain location for pickup at 12:00 on Saturday. We get there to pickup the car, and they were closed. We spend 30 minutes on the phone trying to reserve for another location. We ended up having to drive 20 minutes away to another location at the airport. Not only was this location going to charge me $200 MORE to rent a car, but the associate I had trying to “help” me was the rudest person I’ve encountered in a long time. He acted like he was mad that I walked into his place of work. He huffed and puffed everytime I had a question. When I asked why it was going to be $284 instead of the original $78 the other location was going to charge me, he said “because it is.” by the end of it I told him thank you but I would just go find another place to rent a car. He said “that would be great. Bye.” Horrible experience. 100000000% do NOT recommend this company.

The bad part: The staff member was in such a rush to clock out that they didn’t want to check us in with our rental and told me “you can go back in line and wait on her.” until the other staff (who was already busy with other customers) had to ask him to take care of us. So he grumbled through the process and gave me the keys to a truck without telling us we didn’t get the Camry or a car like we booked until we walked out there and realized it was a full size truck. Not the most comfortable ride back home when you’re expecting an easy to drive sedan. So basically staff interaction was not pleasant sums up the bad part of the experience. The good: It was easy to book online, the value for the price was competitive and the process of pickup and return was simple.

First car I was given had nonstop electrical problems. The CarPlay wouldn’t work and then ultimately an electrical failure rendered the car useless. After several hours, which caused me to miss a critical meeting, I secured a replacement vehicle. The lift gate on that one had to be forced open and closed. When I returned it, the attendant said, “they knew about that.” Won’t ever be using Avis again.
